Silver ions inhibit the multiplication of bacteria and germs according to an old principle.

Silver ions, which inhibit the multiplication of bacteria and germs on contact, are found on the active surface of SecoSan. The ambient temperature has no influence on the effect. The multiplication of germs increases with the temperature, but so does the available amount of silver ions that work against them. The stick can be used at a water temperature of up to 70 °C (158 °F).

The ion storage unit doses fully independently. This way, the water remains not only free of germs,but also free of silver ions. This distinguishes SecoSan significantly from other silver products in tablet, powder and liquid form and from controversial nano-silver.

The stick works in water for up to six months. SecoSan is durable with hardly any restrictions in its original packaging. The stick can be used in containers made of plastic, glass, ceramics, but also of aluminum and stainless steel without them corroding.
